In case of a power failure
The user data settings and registered data for One-touch Speed Dialing and Coded
Speed Dialing are saved during a power failure using a built-in battery. The docu
ments in the FAXPHONE memory are safeguarded also for approximately 1 hour
during a power failure.
During a power failure.
The following restrictions apply to the function of the FAXPHONE during a power
failure or while the power is turned off:
I A call c;in he received with the FAXPHONE during a power failure. However, a call
cannot he made since the numeric buttons. One-touch Speed Dialing, Coded Speed
Dialing, and Group Dialing features are not operational.
I .A document can neither be sent nor received during a power failure.

,A memory backup function safeguards the contents of the FAXPHONE memory dur
ing a power failure or while the power is turned off. Read the following descriptions
carefullv and make sure voti follow the recommendations.
Observe the precautions regarding the proper installation location of the FAXPHONE
to maintain the optimum performance of the memory backup function.
The optimum performance of the memory backup function of approximately I hour
was verified where the ambient temperature was maintained at 73.4°F (23°C) at
60'( relative humidity. Memory backup performance may vary according to the
operating cn\ ironmenl.
The user data settings, and registered data for One-touch Speed Dialing and Coded
Speed Dialing are saved with a built-in lithium battery.
The documents in the FAXPHONE memory will be saved for approximately 1 hour.
1 f a pow er failure occurs or if the power is turned off for an extended period of time
beyond this limit, the documents in the FAXPHONE memory will be lost. After you
turn on the FAXPHONE as soon as the power is restored, the FAXPHONE will
iiutoniiitically print out a memory clear list to inform you of the deleted memory
files.
fhe memory backup function requires that the FAXPHONE remain turned on for a
period of five days to be fully charged. Regularly turning off the FAXPHONE dur
ing the evenings or holidays will prevent the memory backup function from fully
rechareinti.
