What happens when the FAX/TEL switch is ON
Type of call

Choose between:
Receive(Factory setting) and Disconnect
DISCONNECT
FAXPHONE disconnects
the call.
RECEIVE
(Factory setting)
Not all fax machines are capable of sending a
FAX TONE. For those cases if you set the FAT SW
ACTION to RECEIVE, the FA'XPHONE switches
to receive mode automatically and starts receiying
the document. If no document comes in it disconnects.
To change the settings:
7 Press I FUNCTION].
2 Press the [>] until RX SETTING is displayed in the LCD. Press [START/COPY].
3 Press the [>] until FAX/TEL SWITCH is displayed in the LCD. Press [START/COPY j.
4 Press [<] or [>] to choose between ON and OFF. Press |START/COPY j.
5 If FAX/TEL SWITCH was set to ON go to step 6. Else prcss|STOP| to finish registration and return to the
standby mode.
S LCD displays RING START TIME. Press |START/COPY]. Choose between 0-30 SECONDS (enter your
selection using the numeric button pad) and press [START/COPY] again.
7 LCD displays F/T RING TIME. Press |START/COPY]. Choose between 10-45 SECONDS (enter your
selection using the numeric button pad) and press [START/COPY] again.
S LCD displays F/T SW ACTION. Press ]<] or ]>] to choose between RECEIVE and DISCONNECT. Press
[START/COPY].
