Using the FAXPHONE as a telephone
Making telephone calls

You can use your t-AXPHONE as a telephone and dial manually or use any of the
registered One-touch and Coded Speed Dial numbers.
Dialing
Pick up the handset or press [ON HOOK],
Dial the telephone number using the numeric buttons.
To dial using One-touch or Coded Speed Dialing, pick up the handset or press
|ON HOOK], and press the desired One-touch buttons or press (CODED DIAL
/DIRECTORY] and the 2-digit code. Directory Dialing is also available (see
Directory Dialing pg.38).
Tor the FAXPTIONE B.S40. pick up the handset of the connected extension
phone.
Hold function
and place the handset on the
To place the other party on hold, press
cradle.
To resutne the call, pick up the handset.
\ou can leave the party on hold for approximately six minutes, after
which the FA.XPHONE automatically hangs up.
Receiving a document manually using the exten

If your extetision phone is connected to the FAXPHONE but is not located near the
unit, you can actix ate reception of a docutnent manually by answering the extension
phone without physically touching the FAXPHONE.
Tor this feature, extension phone must be plugged into the telephone jack of the
TAXPHONE. .See Connecting an extension phone or answering machine, pg. 1-2.
When you answer a call using your extension and
you hear a long beep or silence, a fax is being
sent.

Press 25 (factory preset) on your extension phone
to switch the fax to receive mode. Wait for a high
pitch tone and then hang up.
The twai-digit number is preset at the factory to 25.
You can change the tw o digit number. See REMOTE
RX ID in the RX SETTINGS, pg.89.
