You haveto set the fax accordingto the type of linethat you are using. The fax is set for touch-toneat the factory before shipping,so if you are usinga touch-toneline,you won't haveto changethis setting. Therlp switch(tone/pulse) is locatedon the rightrearcornerof thefax,nearthe power cord. Checkthe setting.

Bubblejet cartridgescontainwet ink. To prevent them from dryingout, neveropentheirsealedpacks untilyou are readyto installthe cartridge. . To ensureoptimumprintouts,useallthe ink in a cartridgewithinone yearafterunpackingthe cartridge. . Storecartridgesout of the reachof smallchildren. The ink in the cartridgecontainsisopropylalcohol. .

Il you turn the fax off during copying or printing, the cartrldge may stop where ft is and remain there. lt Ieft too long out ol posftion, the caftridge may dry out. When the tax ls not copying or receivlng documents, the prlnt cartridge should always be positioned, inside the printer, on the right side ol the printer area. This prevents the wet suilace of the prlnt head lrom drying out.
