33Getting Ready to Print
Using a USB Connection
The connector for the USB interface cable is on the side of the printer.
You can disconnect the USB interface cable from the computer or printer while the
printer is on. However, to avoid problems with the printer, do not disconnect the USB
interface cable in the following situations:
• During installation of the printer driver.
• While the Windows or Macintosh Operating System is starting up after turning
the computer on.
• During a print job.
