<Measure> 1. Pickup error

Turn power ON again
and make test print.
• When power is turned OFF then ON again, press and hold
POWER
button until buzzer sounds twice.
Check operation of
paper feed mechanism
and feed status.
• Do paper feed motor, pickup roller, feed roller, and page output roller
operate during initialization?
• Are there any abnormal sounds?
• Is the paper feed motor out of sync?
• Is paper picked up correctly when the sheet feeder unit operates?

faulty parts.

Check sheet feeder unit.
• Remove the sheet feeder unit and check its operation
manually.
• Check for abnormal soiling or deterioration of feed roller
rubber and separation sheet. (Wipe away paper dust, etc.,
with ethanol to restore the ability to pick up
the paper.)
• Check for deformation, damage, and
insufficient lubrication of the gears.
• Check that the separation hooks
operate smoothly.
(Check especially when thick
sheets, postcards, and high-
gloss papers are not picked up.)
• Check also the operation of the
purge unit's slide lock lever.
• Faulty pickup roller sensor
• Faulty MPU
• Faulty PCB soldering/
conductivity
Check the type of loaded
print media, the method
by which loaded, and the
printer's ambient conditions.
