Parts and Their Functions
This section provides you with the names and functions of all the parts on the outside and inside of the main unit and the
control panel.
An illustration of the machine with some optional products attached to it is also provided. For more information on
optional products, parts and their functions, see e-Manual > Optional Products/Software.

When the Color Image Reader Unit-D1, Cassette Feeding Unit-AF1, Inner
Finisher-C1, 3 Way Unit-C1, Inner Finisher Additional Tray-A1, and Copy
Tray-J1 Are Attached

Open this cover when clearing a paper jam inside the main unit.

Feeder (Optional)
Originals placed in the feeder are fed one sheet at a time to the platen glass for scanning.

Open this cover when clearing a paper jam in Paper Drawers 1 and 2.

Control Panel

Output Tray

Prints and copies are output to this tray.
Use the multi-purpose tray to feed paper manually, and for loading
nonstandard paper stock, such as envelopes.
Use the USB port to connect external hard disks and other devices to the
machine. You can also connect the machine to a computer using a USB cable.
Holds up to 550 sheets of paper (80 g/m) or 680 sheets of
paper (64 g/m).
Holds up to 250 sheets of paper (80 g/m) or 270 sheets of
paper (64 g/m).
