1) Turn the scanner over and remove the main PCB.
2) Remove the film adapter unit, top cover, document glass unit, and front panel.
3) Rotate the gear mounted on the motor unit to move the scanning unit away from the home
position.
4) Remove four screws from the motor cable cover to remove it.
