comprehensive color management and support for
variable data printing (VDP), the Canon imagePASS
Print Controller is complete with powerful utilities that
are all provided as standard features making it a potent
solution for any color printing task.
Optional applications such as the EFI Color Profiler
that offers finer control over color and print quality,
and EFI Impose™ Fiery Edition that provides advanced
booklet and imposition capabilities, add flexibility and
functionality to the Canon imagePASS Print Controller

Fiery ColorWise delivers for both skilled and novice

across applications, computer platforms, color spaces,
and color file formats with automated functionality and
expert controls for managing color, productivity and
automating color document workflow.

Print Controller is a robust utilization of SmartRIP

technology, productivity tools and logical workflows
that drive increased performance for all users and is
complete with tools like Fiery’s Office Accelerator that
dramatically speeds printing of Microsoft Office and
Adobe applications by providing an intelligent path
through the image and graphic rich files that typically
slow non-Fiery devices, and the Fiery RIP-and-Print
utility that drives up to 30% more pages (per time
period) through printers in demanding environments.
Connectivity

, the Canon imagePASS
Print Controller has an innovative design that virtually
guarantees easy connectivity, including “peer-to-peer”
(SNB) support for Windows

workstation printing
and ensures seamless integration in any network
environment. With the intuitive Fiery WebTools

network visibility through WebJet Admin, network
administrators, lead operators and casual users all have
access to easy job and device management from any
platform via a Java-enabled web browser—providing a
perfect solution for corporate intranets.
Security
As more devices are connected to corporate networks,
protecting information contained in these devices
is a priority. The Canon imagePASS Print Controller
incorporates strong security utilities ranging from
limiting who has access to the controller to securing
the data itself. Administrators will have the ability to
set general authentications, disable network ports and
services, set IP filtering and implement supporting anti-
virus software. With optional features like EFI Secure
Erase, administrators and users will be able to take
security to the next level by erasing data stored on
the controller’s hard drive, employing a three (3) pass
overwriting protection to erase all traces of deleted
information providing optimal security in any setting.
