When shootin fast shutter speeds under artificial light
sources, flickering caused by the flicker of the lights can
cause exposure and color irregularities. Anti-flicker
shooting is a function that reduces the negative
influence on exposure and color caused by this kind of
flickering by optimizing the shooting timing. It is
effective when shooting with fast shutter speeds with
the kind of light sources that display the [Flicker!]
detection icon in the Intelligent Viewfinder (P. 120).

By controlling the shooting timing, this function
makes it possible to reduce exposure and color
irregularities that can occur due to ickering
lighting during continuous shooting with fast
shutter speeds under articial light sources.
Anti-flicker shooting
* As the influence of flickering can appear with shutter speeds of
1/250 sec. or faster, this is simply a guideline for using [Anti-flicker
shooting].
