Registering Lens Aberration Correction Data to the Camera
Lens aberration correction data for lenses available at the time of
releasing the camera to the market are all registered to the camera.
It will not be necessary to register lens aberration correction data to
the camera also for almost all lenses released to the market after
the camera. However, it will be necessary to register lens
aberration correction data to the camera for lenses with which no
check mark is added to the lens aberration correction data column
in the register lens data window. Register data to the camera with
the following method.
To register lens aberration correction data for lenses to the
camera, checkmark the boxes of lenses for which you want to
register correction data and then click the [OK] button. EU exits.
Registering DLO Lens Data to the Camera
DLO lens data for lenses available at the time of releasing the
camera to the market are all registered to the camera. However, it
will be necessary to download DLO lens data and register the data
to the camera for lenses released to the market after the camera.
1 Download DLO lens data to the computer
If DLO lens data is not downloaded to the computer or not
registered to the camera, the DLO icon on the registering screen
appears as [ ].
Click the name of the lens you want to register.
The DLO lens data is downloaded, and the icon changes to
[].
2 Register DLO lens data to the camera
Click the [OK] button.
The DLO lens data is registered to the camera, and EU exits.
[ ] appears the next time the register lens data window
is displayed.
If you click the [Cancel] button when step 1 is completed, DLO
lens data is only downloaded to the computer.
If update data is available on the server, an [ ] icon is
displayed. Click the name of the lens, download the update data
to the computer, and then click the [OK] button to register the
data to the camera.
