Frame Recording Mode
Set the number of frames in advance. We recommend operating the camera remotely or stabilizing the camera,
for example, on a tripod. Sound is not recorded in this mode.

[3 Recording/Media Setup] > [Recording Mode]
2 Select [Frame Recording] and then press SET.
[FRM STBY] appears at the top of the screen (with [FRM] flashing).
3 Open the [Recorded Frames] submenu.
[3 Recording/Media Setup] > [Special Recording Settings] >
[Frame Recording] > [Recorded Frames]
4 Select the desired number of frames and then press SET.
Available options are: 1, 3, 6 and 9 frames.
Recording
1 Press the START/STOP button to begin recording.
The camera automatically records the specified number of frames.
The tally lamp illuminates.
[FRM STBY] changes to [Ü FRM REC] while recording frames and
[Ü FRM STBY] when frames are not being recorded.
Repeat until you finish recording.
2 When you have finished recording, turn off the special recording mode.
Repeat steps 1 and 2 of the previous procedure selecting [Normal Recording] instead.
Frame recording mode ends and all of the recorded frames are joined together into one clip.
The tally lamp goes out and [STBY] appears at the top of the screen.
NOTESNOTES
If Long GOP compression was being used, the bit rate will change automatically to an option with Intra-frame
compression.
You can use only one special recording mode at a time.
The number of frames recorded cannot be changed while recording.
Some frames at the point the recording was stopped may be recorded and added to the end of the clip.
If the system frequency is changed, frame recording mode will be canceled and the [Recorded Frames] setting
will be reset to its default value.
About the time code during frame recording mode:
- The time code mode can be set to [Regen.], or to [Preset] with [Rec Run] running mode. The time code
advances by the number of frames recorded every time.
- If the time code running mode was set to [Free Run] or the camera was synchronized to an external time
code signal, the time code running mode will be changed automatically to [Rec Run] when interval recording
is activated.
- When the special recording mode is deactivated, the time code running mode will return to its previous
setting.
- The time code signal will not be output from the TIME CODE terminal, REC OUT terminal, MON. terminal or
HDMI OUT terminal.
