You can magnify a captured image by approx. 1.5x to 10x on the LCD monitor.

Magnify the image.
 Press the <u> button during image
playback.
 The image will be magnified.
 If you hold down the <u> button, the
image will be magnified until it
reaches the maximum magnification.
 Press the <Hy> button to reduce
the magnification. If you hold down
the button, the magnification will be
reduced to the single-image display.

Shift the display area.
 The magnified display area will be
shifted in the direction of the <S>
cross keys pressed.
 To exit magnified view, press the
<x> button and the single-image
display will reappear.

Magnified area position
 In magnified view, you can turn the <6> dial to view another image at
the same magnification.
 The image cannot be magnified during the image review immediately
after shooting.
 A movie cannot be magnified.
