3) Is the amount of paper placed in the manual feed tray more than
allowed?
YES

Advise the user on the amount of paper that may be placed.

4) Is the paper curled or wavy?
YES: Replace the paper, and advise the user on the correct method of
storing
paper.

5) Try paper of a recommended type. Is the problem corrected?
YES: Advise the user to use recommended paper.

6) Does the paper guide plate move up in conjunction with pickup
operation?
YES: Clean the manual feed roller. If scratched, replace it.
NO: Check to see if the spring used to push up the paper guide is
mounted correctly.

7) Is the main motor rotating?
YES: Go through steps 8) through 11).
NO: Go through steps 12) through 14).
