❏ Accessing from an External Terminal’s
Web Browser
You can access the ScanFront from an external terminal's
web browser to register users, addresses, and jobs,
configure device settings, and perform other operations.
1. Set [Allow remote operation] to [ON]. (See p. 152.)
2. Start the web browser on the external terminal.
3. Enter the following URL to access the ScanFront.
http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:50080/
* Enter the ScanFront's IP address for "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx".
Hint
• When communicating by SSL,
enter "https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:50443/".
• When using SSL communication, be sure to import the proper
server certificate using ScanFront Administration Tool for
SF400 (see p. 174). Depending on the web browser
operation, failure to import the certificate may result in
improper menu functioning.
The ScanFront login screen appears.
IMPORTANT
If an external terminal enters sleep mode while access to the
ScanFront is in progress, a false notification indicating that
scanning is in progress may be sent. Before entering sleep
mode or stepping away while automatic sleep mode is enabled
on an external terminal, be sure to close the web browser that
is accessing the ScanFront.
