Before You Start Using This Machine

● If the message <Enter the Dept. ID and Password using the numeric

keys.> appears:

❑ Press [Dept. ID] ➞ enter the Department ID using - (numeric keys).

❑ Press [Password] ➞ enter the password using - (numeric keys).

❑ Press (ID).

The Basic Features screen is displayed.

NOTE

If the Department ID and password have not been set, this message will not

appear. For instructions on how to enter the Department ID and password, see

“Operations after Turning the Power ON,” on p. 1-48.

● If an authentication screen other than Department ID appears:

❑ Enter the user name and password ➞ press [Log In].

The SDL screen is used as an example above.

The Basic Features screen is displayed.
