Changing the shape of the DC motor for manufacturing reasons
Detail:
The shape of the DC motor is changed for manufacturing reasons. With this change, 2 types of the DC motor,
for production (marked with FG9-3915) and for service (FK2-0017), exist. For your reference, the DC motor
for production has the sheet metal to attach the DC motor to the machine, but the DC motor for service does not
have it. Keep the following service points in mind when replacing the DC motor.
Servicing Work:
For service parts, the existing DC motor (FK2-0017) is supplied as before.
Perform the steps below when replacing the DC motor for production with the DC motor for service.
1. Remove the 2 screws [2] in the fig. P-2 and detach the DC motor from the machine.
2. Remove the 3 screws [3] in the fig. P-2 and detach the sheet metal [4] from the DC motor.
3. Attach the sheet metal [4] detached in step 2 to the DC motor in the fig. P-1 using the 3 screws [3] detached
in step 2. At this time, tighten the screws at the same positions as [3] in the fig. P-2.
4. Attach the DC motor to the machine using the 2 screws [2] detached in step 1. At this time, tighten the screws
at the same positions as [2] in the fig. P-2.
