[ô Shotgun]: Records monaural audio with a highly directional setting
that is most sensitive to sound coming directly from the front of the cam-
corder/microphone.
[Surround Mic Attenuator]: Helps prevent audio distortions due to high
audio recording levels when the optional SM-V1 Surround Microphone is
attached to the camcorder. When set to [i On å], å will appear
on the screen.
s / Playback Setup
* Option available only for AVCHD movies.
[Data Code]: Displays the date and/or time when the scene or photo was
recorded.
[
( Camera Data]: Displays the aperture (f-stop) and shutter speed used
when recording the scene or photo.
[TV Type]: When you connect the camcorder to a TV using the optional
STV-250N Stereo Video Cable, select the setting according to the type of
TV in order to display the picture in full and in the correct aspect ratio.
[+ 4:3 TV]: TV sets with 4:3 aspect ratio.
[, Wide TV]: TV sets with 16:9 aspect ratio.
• When the TV type is set to [+ 4:3 TV], during the playback of video
originally recorded with an aspect ratio of 16:9, the picture will not be
displayed fullscreen.
• This option is not available when the camcorder is connected to an
HDTV using the supplied HDMI cable.
