NEC projectors (new codes):
Group 2: LT25/30/35, NP40/50/60, VT37/45/46/47/48/49/57/58/59/440/460/465/
VT490/540/560/590/650/660
The following table shows the mapping of T460 channel number, the string sent, and the input associated with that channel in
the manual, and how it is identified on the on-screen menu:
T460 Channel TX codes (last 2 bytes) Input name in manual Function as identified on screen
1 01h 09h RGB RGB (including component on some)
2 06h 0Eh VIDEO VIDEO
3 0Bh 13h S-VIDEO S-VIDEO
Don’t forget to set all unused T460 channels to “Skip” to jump over blank/unused inputs.
NOTE 1: The LT25/30/35 don’t officially have audio control, according to NEC, but we find it does respond to Volume
commands, so we have left these enabled. On these, there is only ONE audio IN and no OUT, so not very useful.
NOTE 2: No remote control of audio is available on the NP40/50/60 or
VT37/46/47/57/460/465/470/480/560/570/575/660/670/676 models. It can be set manually with the buttons on the projector
and on the remote control but NOT via an RS232 control. Audio and Video mute work OK, so the volume control keys can be
used for mute functions. Use a T461 if audio control is needed. If no audio is needed, use a Mute On/Mute Off keyboard. (No
freeze provided)
NOTE 3: LT180/LT25/30/35 all work best with Reply mode enabled in single-projector applications.
NOTE 4: VT48/58 always works in Reply mode, so are NOT suitable for parallel projector operation.
NOTE 5: If the lower output drive from the projector causes problems driving long cables, on projector where baud rate can be
altered, an option exists to set the T460 coms to 4800 baud by setting FLAG1. Change proj. to 4800 also.
