Sony projector (old A5/5A codes): VPL-PX20/21/30/31/32, VPL-VW10/12HT projectors
Sony projector setup means allocating input names to each of the four/five channels allowed, using the table below:
Note: The order of these channel allocations was changed in release 2.07 to match the other Sony allocations.
T460 Channel Char sent as “Data 5” Function
1 00h VIDEO
2 01h S-VIDEO
3 02h INPUT A (Computer / Component / DTV-YPBPR / DTV-GBR)
4 03h INPUT B (RGB D-15)
5 04h INPUT C (Some only)
Don’t forget to set all unused T460 channels to “Skip” to jump over blank/unused inputs.
There are apparently up to four setup selections available for Input A RGB, and these should be setup using the remote
controller or the on-projector menu.
T460 selection does not extend to these preset functions. They are COMPUTER, COMPONENT, DTV-YPbPr and DTV-GBR.
The normal default seems to be COMPUTER, which seems to be normal VGA analog from a PC/laptop.
On the PX32, selection between INPUT A channels is done with a slider switch in the INPUT A connector area. This selects
between DIGITAL RGB (DFP 20-pin), RGB (D-sub 15-pin) and 5 BNC component video.
The driver routines provide for audio setting via the projector, showing a range of 0 … 25 on the display, mapping to 0 … 100
on the projector volume display function.
If a T461 is selected, don’t forget to map the channels using the map T461 option in the setup screen.
Sony projector (new A9-9A codes) :
VPL- CX61/63/80/85/86/100/120/125/150/155, ES3/4, EX3/4, FE40, FX40/50/51/52,
PX11/15/35/40/41, CX85/86, ES3, EX3, FX50/51/52, PX11/15/35/40/41
Sony projector setup means allocating input names to each of the six channels allowed, using the table below:
T460 Channel Char sent as Data 5 Function
1 00h Video
2 01h S-Video
3 02h Input A (Analog RGB computer / Component / GBR) on D-15)
4 03h Input B (Analog RGB, D-15), DVI analog or digital on FX50/51
5 04h Input C (RGB, DVI, DVI-D) (PC card/memory stick or Ethernet)
6 05h Input D Computer, Component Video or Video RGB
There are multiple setup selections available for Inputs A, B, C and D; these are selected via the menu setup or via the IR
remote. T460 selection does not extend to these preset functions, as they are not available for RS232 control.
Don’t forget to set all unused T460 channels to “Skip” to jump over blank/unused inputs.
Note: Users can set FlagG=1 (see flag setup menu) to enable sending ATA (Automatic Pixel Align) after each source
transmission to this model projector. (was Flag1)
The driver routines provide for audio setting via the projector, showing a range of 0 … 25 on the display, mapping to 0 … 100
on the projector volume display function.
If a T461 is selected, don’t forget to map the channels using the map T461 option in the setup screen.
