9. Mounting the Thermal Switch
10. Positìon of the Paper Guide
Check that the detection face of the thermal
switch is evenly in contact with the surface of the
upper fixing roller.
The paperguide is positioned by the paper guide
mount. Assuch,thepositionofthepaperguideneed
not be adjusted.
Make sure that the hook of the thermal switch
holder is securely engaged with the fixing assembly
upper plate.
Note:
The position of the paper guide needs to be
adjusted if the paper guide mount has been
removed; therefore, do not loosen the screw
on the paper guide. If necessary, mark the
position on the fixing assembly mount using
a scriber before loosening the screw.

Note:
The thermal switch need not be adjusted; if
the contact is not even, check if the thermal
switch spring is deformed.
Do not use mounting screws otherthan those
specified.
Note:
To adjust the position of the paper guide,
place the fixing assembly on a desk, and
move the paper guide mount so that it is
positioned as shown in Figure 4-I 01.
