thermal fuse (Ful) or the scanning lamp blows,
causing the relay (RLI) togo OFFandcuttingthe AC
power.
The above condition prevents generation of the
zero-cross and causes ‘E221’ to be indicated on the
control panel.

The copy density correction lever serves to pre-
vent foggy images caused by deterioration of the
photosensitive drum. The copy density correction
lever changes the intensity of the scanning lamp,
and a higher frees the copies of fogging.
