Adjustment
The following adjustments should be made when
the
AE
sensor or adjustment PCB has
been
re-
placed;
starl
with adjustment of the
AE
referente
point and then AE slope, and make sure both adjust-
ments
are made without
fail.

Adjusting the AE Referente Point
1)
Remove
the adjustment cover from the rear of
the
left
cover.
2) Switch the power
ON.
*
Wait untilthe WAITstate isoverand theCOPY
READY
indicator
is
green.
3)
Place
an
NB-3 Test Sheet or NA-2 Test Sheet,
and
close
the copyboard
cover.
4)
Press the push switch (SWI
;
service switch)
on
the adjusting PCB.
-
‘0’
will
be indicated
on
the copy counter
on
the
control panel.
-
If the indication
is
not’O’,
enter’o’on
the tenkey
pad
on
the control panel.
5) Press the
SORT/GROUP
key
on
the control
panel.
-
The scanner moves
forward
to the
AE
meas-
urement point, and the scanning lamp goes
ON.
Note:
The scanning lamp remains
ON
for about 8
sec; to turn
it
ON
once again, press the SORT/
GROUP key, and press the key once gain
after the operation stops.
6) Adjust
VR1
(AE
ref.)
on
the adjusting PCB so
that the copy counter
on
the control panel
indi-
cates ‘20’.

7)
Press the
SORT/GROUP
key after making

justments.

The scanning lamp goes OFF, and the

ner returns to the home position.
