Outline
The copier has
an
automatic
cleaning
mecha-
nism for the transfer corona
wire;
cleaning
is
exe-
cuted
when the power switch
is
turned
ON
or when
the fixing assembly
is
1OO”C/212”F
or below.
The wire cleaner
is
moved by the cleaner motor
(M4)
back
and forth once along the wire (about 20
sec).
When the wire cleaner mount moving
folward
by
M4 actuates the microswitch
(SW9)
located at the
rear of thetransfer rail, M4 rotates
in
reverse to move
the wire cleaner
in
reverse.
The wire cleaner stops when the wire cleaner
mount actuates the microswitch (SW6) located
in
front of the transfer rail (home position). If SW6
is
not
actuated, the COPY START key on the control panel
remains red for 90
sec
even after the wait period
is
over.
If the power
is
turned OFF
in
the middle of
cleaning operation, the wire cleaner mount stops
where
it
is.
If the transfercorona assembly has
been
dertached
in
this condition,
attach
it
back
to
the
copier
while
holding the wire cleaner at the rear by
