When VIVID is selected, green and blue portions of photos are printed vividly.

Follow the procedures below to clean the nozzles. Before Performing Maintenance Remove the FINE Cartridge once, then insert it into place again. See “Replacing a FINE Cartridge” on page 39.

Replace the empty FINE Cartridge with a new one. When replacing a FINE Cartridge, check the model number very carefully. The printer will not print properly if a wrong FINE Cartridge is used, or installed wrong.

To maintain optimal print quality, we recommend that you use Canon brand FINE Cartridge. Replenishing ink only is also not recommended.

The low ink warning is that the ink counter counts a remaining level of ink and tells you that FINE Cartridges are running out of ink before printing. The ink counter considers as ink is full when new FINE Cartridge is installed, and then starts counting a remaining level of ink. For this, if old FINE Cartridge is installed, a remaining level of ink cannot be displayed correctly.

A communication time out occurs if printing takes a long time or if it takes too much time to send data. This may stop printing. In such a case, disconnect the cable between the printer and the camera, and reconnect it. Then, turn the camera on, if it does not automatically turn on just by connecting the cable.
