Using the Self-Timer
Still Images
Movies
With the self-timer, you can include yourself in group photos or other
timed shots. The camera will shoot about 10 seconds after you press the
shutter button.
By setting the timer to two seconds, you can also avoid any camera shake
from pressing the shutter button.
1
Congure the setting.
On the Quick Control screen (
=
23),
choose [ ], and then choose [ ].
2
Shoot.
For Still Images: Press the shutter button
halfway to focus on the subject, and then
press it all the way down.
Once you start the self-timer, the lamp
will blink and the camera will play a self-
timer sound.
Even when set, the self-timer has no effect if you press the movie
button to start recording.
Two seconds before self-timer shots, blinking and self-timer
sounds accelerate (unless the ash will re, in which case the
lamp remains lit).
Adding a Date Stamp
Still Images
Movies
The camera can add the shooting date to images, in the lower-right
corner.
However, note that date stamps cannot be edited or removed, so conrm
beforehand that the date and time are correct (
=
16).
1
Congure the setting.
Choose [ ] menu (
=

stamp ] > [Date & time] or [Date].
2
Shoot.
As you take shots, the camera adds the
shooting date or time to the lower-right
corner of images.
Date stamps cannot be edited or removed.
Shots taken without adding a date stamp can be printed with one
as follows.
However, adding a date stamp this way to images that already
have one may cause it to be printed twice.
- Print using printer functions (
=

- Use camera DPOF print settings (
