8.3 Cleaning and Disinfection
8.3.1 Nozzle
When dust is on or inside the nozzle, press CLEAR (DEMO) switch for more than two sec-
onds to blow it off.
8.3.2 Objective Lens of Nozzle
Clean the objective lens of nozzle as indicated below when dust is on it, or if it is stained
with tears.
NOTES: 1. If the objective lens is wiped when there is dust on it, the surface will be
scratched.
2. Do not wipe the objective lens with disinfecting alcohol or cleaning paper
containing silicone as the surface may be damaged or be stained.
3. Do not touch the nozzle during cleaning as lint of gauze, etc. may attach to it.
4. Be sure to put the cap over the nozzle when the instrument is not in use.
Blow off dust
Remove the brush from the
blower brush and blow off the
dust on the objective lens.
Wipe the objective lens
Wipe the objective lens lightly
with sterile gauze or non treated
lens paper, on which you can put
some lens cleaner. Please con-
sult Canon representative or dis-
tributor about lens cleaners that
can be used.
