It is possible that the navigation mode in your car is not on. You can enable the navigation mode (or
have it switched on) in VAGCOM. It is also possible to place a separate switching power supply on the
red ACC wire of the radio. It is important that the red / ACC wire that runs via the can bus decoder is
disconnected.
Improve radio reception
Check if the AF function in the radio menu is turned off, otherwise your radio will search for other
frequencies. It is also important if you have received a reinforced antenna to provide the loose blue
wire with a power supply.
It may be that you have an active antenna or an antenna that has been specially developed for the
original car radio. Then you need a high-quality antenna amplifier that ensures that you have good
radio reception. We can deliver these for a competitive price, or you can order them via the website.
AUDI BOSE SOUND/ Semi-active system
If you have a Bose/reinforced system, make sure the red and white tulip cables are connected to
each other and the blue AMP wire is connected to the reinforced AMP wire. Otherwise, your rear
speakers will not work. If you hear a noise when starting, it is important to connect one of the tulips
to a mass. If this does not help, you can order a filter from us. This may be necessary in some cases
with the Audi with full Bose.
BMW
For the BMW 5 Series E60 E61 E63 E64 and BMW 3 Series E90 E91 E92 with idrive option, it can
happen that the sound is controlled from the factory radio. By going to CAR settings - communication
- AUX you can turn off the AUX. When it is turned off, the multimedia system takes over the sound. If
your BMW has an original navigation, you will need extension cables.
If your BMW (E46, E39, E53) is equipped with an original navigation and an amplified sound system
for example Harman Kardon, then you need an extended power cable and antenna cable. The
connections of the radio unit are then processed at the back of your trunk. Often these are under the
bottom plate next to the battery. If you do not have these extension cables, please contact us. We
recommend that you first test in the trunk whether everything works before you assemble the radio
completely.
If there is DSP in the car, we advise you to contact us. Then you need a special extension cable for
sound retention. This is available in our assortment.
Ford
Making the steering wheel control work
When installing an aftermarket unit for your Ford, the steering wheel control is taken over. Check
that your steering wheel control is working after installation. If this is not the case, see if you can
learn it via the menu in your radio (steering wheel).
If learning the steering wheel control does not work, you can check the following. See if the brown
wire with connector is connected to the other brown wire. In most cases, the
Labels Key 1 are linked together, so that the key wire
The block plug is connected to the key wire which runs to the block (see right). If this does not work,
you can connect the brown wire with Key 1 which will enter the radio to the Key 1 wire that comes
from the block plug.
(With some models, the plug may differ slightly)
