INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

HEARTH GUARD

Tools you will need to install this child safety device.

HEARTH GUARD COMES PREASSEMBLED!

Max width is 78”

TURN HEARTH GUARD UPSIDE DOWN.

Remove packing masking tape from end of adjustment

rod.

EXTEND HEARTH GUARD TO FIT YOUR HEARTH.

Place on your hearth and adjust by extending

guard to the right to an approximate fit.

REMOVE HEARTH GUARD. UNDERNEATH

PLACE HOOK END OF ADJUSTMENT ROD ()

IN NEAREST HOLE - Hearth Guard will need

to be slightly longer than the fireplace hearth.

REMOVE PROTECTIVE STRIPS FROM BOTH

INSIDES OF HEARTH GUARD (A).

Set these aside they will be reused.

ADD HEARTH SIDE EXTENSIONS.

The two (2) L brackets will slide into open

ends through frame clips. Do this on each side

of the Hearth Guard.

PLACE ON HEARTH AND ADJUST SIDE

EXTENSIONS TO YOUR HEARTH DEPTH.

When depth is correct, replace the protective

strips from STEP 3 making sure to overlap the L

brackets inserted. This will help hold it in place

when installed.

USING YOUR PHILLIPS HEAD

SCREWDRIVER, TIGHTEN HEARTH GUARD

ONTO HEARTH. Find exposed tightening

screw on corner of Hearth Guard.

CUT EXTRA FOAM PIECES TO FIT IN OPEN GAPS.

NOTE: The two (2) smaller pieces are

for the extension back ends. Remove

double-back adhesive backing (white) and

secure onto exposed medal.
