5. INTERCOM
5.1. CONFIGURING THE INTERCOM
The cardo BK-1 Intercom allows Bicycle-to-Bicycle full duplex communication at a range of up to 1,640 ft. /
500 m (subject to terrain). Intercom communication (one on one) is possible between up to ve users, i.e
you and four other cardo BK-1 users, through the four available channels (“A”, “B”, “C” or “D). Intercom
conferencing is available between 3 cyclists via Channels “A” and “B” only, as described in section 5.1b
“Three-Way Intercom”.

Pairing with another cardo BK-1 unit
To chat with another cardo BK-1 user via Intercom, rst pair the cardo BK-1 devices to each other. Pairing is a
one-time process. Once paired, the cardo BK-1 units will automatically recognize each other whenever they
are within range.
NOTE: The retail package of the “DUO” version contains two factory-paired units.
5.1a. TWOWAY INTERCOM / INTERCOM TOGGLING MODE
If you have purchased the cardo BK-1 DUO, both units are factory-paired and congured to communicate via
their respective Channel “A” Buttons. If for any reason you have to pair them again, OR if you purchased a single cardo BK-1
and wish to pair with a second unit to make Intercom calls, proceed as follows:
