White Powder on the
Platen: Clean the
Platen
IMPORTANT: Make sure you are printing through the DICOM interface
according to the instructions in this guide.
1. Shut down the imager. Wait for the screen to go dark, and then
unplug the power cable from the electrical outlet.
2. Wait for one minute.
3. Use a toothpick or similar object to push in the paper particles on
the platen. The particles look like white powder.
CAUTION:
Do not touch the roller and the ink absorption; otherwise, the
prints may be soiled.
Do not touch the ink tubes inside the imager. This can damage
the imager.
4. Close the imager cover.
Smudged Prints from
the Roller
If the roll paper prints are smudged or soiled, clean the roller:
1. Turn on the imager.
2. If not already loaded, load the roll paper. See “Loading the Roll
Paper” on page 2-9.
3. Press to feed the paper through the imager. The paper feeds
while you hold the button. Feed the paper until it comes out clean.
