Correcting Errors
Introduction There are several places to check the status of the system:
The alert lamp on the imager automatically lights or flashes when an
error or warning occurs. You can set or change the alert lamp
settings in maintenance mode. (See “Alert Settings” on page 3-2.)
The imager display screen shows messages that are related to
printing functions, for example, ink low and maintenance messages.
If an error occurs, the alert lamp and/or the display screen light
illuminate, and a message displays.
The small screen on the DICOM Interface shows the media size for
loaded and requested media for the jobs from modalities.
The Web Portal provides more detailed status and system
information.
Messages and suggested correction actions are provided in this chapter.

Ink Cartridge Expended.
Replace ink cartridge.
Replace the ink cartridge. See “Replacing the Ink Cartridges” on
page 2-21.
Ink Cartridge Alert. Please use
genuine Epson ink cartridges.
Replace the ink cartridge with an ink cartridge that is supported by this
imager.
Ink Cartridge Alert
Non-genuine cartridge!
Quality of non-genuine ink may
vary.
Non-genuine cartridge may not
perform at optimum.
Continue? Decline or Accept
Select Decline, and then replace the ink cartridge with a supported ink
cartridge.
Ink Cartridge Alert. Replace ink
cartridge(s).
Remove the ink cartridge and reinstall it. If the message still displays,
install a new ink cartridge.
Condensation may occur in the ink cartridge. Leave it at room
temperature for at least four hours before reinstalling the ink cartridge.
Ink Cartridge Error. Please
install the correct ink cartridge.
Remove the ink cartridge, and install an ink cartridge that is supported
by this imager.
