IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS THE ULTRA COOKER IS INTENDED FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY. Before using your Carico Ultra Cooker for the first time, be sure to read and carefully follow all of the instructions shown in this Owner’s Manual. Carefully unpack your electric cooker and remove all packing material. Wash the interior pot thoroughly before using for the first time and wipe the exterior base with a dry, soft cloth.
EXTREME CAUTION must be used when moving the Ultra Cooker containing hot liquids, however; we strongly recommend that you DO NOT move the cooker while it’s cooking or hot to the touch. IMPORTANT: Should any of the following points occur, immediately pull the plug of the Ultra Cooker and walk away until it has cooled down. Excessive water (other than condensation) begins to drip from under the handle or lid. ALWAYS grasp your cooker by the handles using potholders to protect you from the hot surface.
GETTING TO KNOW YOUR Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way. ULTRA COOKER Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into wall outlet. To disconnect, press “cancel” then remove plug from wall outlet. To protect against electrical shock or burns, do not immerse cord in water or other liquid. A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
GETTING TO KNOW YOUR BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME ULTRA COOKER 1. Notice when the removable airtight lid is properly closed, the arrows on the base handle and lid will be lined up. To remove the lid, holding the base handle firmly with one handle, grasp the lid handle with the other hand and rotate counter-clockwise. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS FUNCTION: HIGH/MEDIUM/LOW PRESSURE COOKING 1. Place food to be cooked into the removable cooking pot. IMPORTANT: Do not fill the removable cooking pot higher than Max line inside the cooking pot. IMPORTANT: Do not exceed 8 cup line when pressure cooking foods that expand such as rice, dried beans, grains and legumes. IMPORTANT: Add at least 1 cup (8 ounces) of liquid to the removable cooking pot when cooking under pressure. You may use water, broth, or juice, etc.
CAUTION: Keep hands and face clear of the pressure release valve and the pressure indicator rod when the appliance is in operation. Hot steam and liquid may be emitted during use. CAUTION: WHEN COOKING UNDER PRESSURE, THE APPLIANCE CANNOT BE OPENED ONCE PRESSURE IS REACHED. DO NOT TRY TO FORCE THE LID OPEN. 15. You can press the Warm/Cancel button to start the keep warm function or cancel the keep warm mode.
CARE AND CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS 1. Unplug and let the Ultra Cooker cool to room temperature before cleaning. 2. Wash the removable cooking pot with warm soapy water and a clean soft cloth or sponge. Rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly. NOTE: After cooking rice or larger pot meals, some cooking liquid may pool under the lid at the top of the unit around the cooking pot. This is normal. Use a paper towel or kitchen cloth to clean after every use. Use small brush or cotton swab if necessary. 3.
SIMPLE COOKING INSTRUCTIONS Simple cooking instructions: Place your ingredients in the pot, push only one function key on the control panel (poultry, meats, beans, etc.), press start and soon you will enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal! I. Browning: All browning should be done without the lid 1. To brown food you must use at least 1 tablespoon of oil in the bottom of the interior stainless steel cooking pot. 2. Add oil to bottom of the interior pot press the “Browning” function key.

Easy Pot Roast Cuban Roast Pork 4 lbs. Boneless pork roast 1 lb. RICE Cooking Instructions: Preparation of rice may vary from the instructions on package (see chart below). Do not exceed the half-fill rule. Add 1-2 tablespoons cooking oils to minimize foaming. Press the “Rice” Function key. Press “Start” In all cases, rice should be finished by allowing the pressure to drop of its accord Rice Cooking Chart: Important: To reduce excess foaming add one tablespoon of oil (olive, vegetable, etc.) Note: Use measuring cup for both rice and water to ensure the correct ratio.
Steamed Vegetables STEAM You may use any vegetable for steaming. Be sure there is at least one cup of liquid in the pot and place the vegetables on the provided rack Cut vegetables into large enough pieces that they do not fall through the rack. BABY FOOD Fruit Food safety is crucial when preparing foods for baby. Be sure all your foods are handled with utmost care to not cross contaminate items. Completely clean all products before use. When using water at any stage, be sure to use purified water, as tap water is full of contaminants, such as chlorine, lead, and mercury – which can all negatively impact your growing child. Red Bean Chicken TROUBLE SHOOTING YOUR 4 Frozen skinless chicken breasts 1 Can of red beans (approximately 15 ounces) 1 Salsa (approximately 8 ounces) ULTRA COOKER (Before calling Customer Service) I can’t open the lid. DIRECTIONS: The pressure has not been released. Using the silicone mitt, turn pressure release valve “up” to release. 1. Add all ingredients together. Close lid but be sure that the pressure release valve is in the up position.
LED shows E2 on the read-out screen. The interior pot was removed or not sitting properly on the Ultra Cooker’s heating plate with temperature sensor. If the interior pot is not sitting correctly on the cooker, it is not receiving the information it needs to calibrate. Please unplug the electric cord for 5-10 seconds, then carefully re-open the lid rotating the interior pot until it sits properly then re-plug the cord. This should “reset” the cooker.

Esta olla no es como la típica olla de presión de la abuela. Esta es “todo en una”; cocinará a presión, a cocción lenta, al vapor y también dorará. La olla multi-usos “Ultra Cooker” ha sido diseñada con la tecnología más avanzada para asegurar el más alto nivel de seguridad y rendimiento óptimo.
La función digital recomienda la longitud de tiempo requerida. Este tiempo puede ser cambiado, sin embargo, tenga cuidado de no recocer el contenido. Usted puede anular el tiempo de cocción presionando el botón de "Cancel" y presionando el botón del temporizador para el tiempo de cocción deseado. NUNCA cocine los alimentos más de lo que la receta requiere. NUNCA permita que el cordón cuelgue en el borde del mostrador.
Conociendo a su olla Información importante sobre el cable de suministro eléctrico y enchufe: NO USAR CON UN CABLE DE EXTENSIÓN ULTRA COOKER Nota: Si el tomacorriente está sobrecargado con otros electrodomésticos, la olla no podrá funcionar correctamente. ANTES DE UTILIZAR POR PRIMERA VEZ Conociendo a su olla ULTRA COOKER 1. Observe que la tapa hermética extraíble esté bien cerrada y que las flechas en la base de mango y la tapa estén alineadas. Para quitar la tapa, con una mano sujete con firmeza la base del mango, con la otra mano sujete la tapa del mango y gírela en sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj.
INSTRUCCIONES PARA SU USO FUNCIÓN: ALTA/MEDIANA/BAJA PRESIÓN PARA COCINAR 1. Coloque los alimentos a cocinar en la olla de acero inoxidable desmontable. IMPORTANTE: No llene la olla de acero inoxidable desmontable más de la línea de máximo dentro de la olla. IMPORTANTE: No exceder 8 de taza de la línea con alimentos que se expanden al cocerlos a alta presión, como el arroz, frijoles secos, los cereales y legumbres.
PRECAUCIÓN: Al cocinar bajo presión, el APARATO NO PUEDE SER ABIERTO UNA VEZ que alcanza la presión deseada. NO intente forzar la tapa para abrirla. INSTRUCCIONES DE MANTENIMIENTO 15. Puede presionar el botón de Warm/Cancel para iniciar o cancelar la función de mantener caliente. Cuando se termina la cocción, la olla a presión automáticamente se convertirá a un modo de calentamiento por 24 horas indicado por cuatro guiones (----) en la pantalla. Cuatro ceros (0000) indica que la función queda anulada.
INSTRUCCIONES PARA EL CUIDADO Y LIMPIEZA 1. Desenchufe y deje enfriar la olla multi-usos “Ultra Cooker” a temperatura ambiente antes de limpiarla. 2. Lave el recipiente de acero inoxidable desmontable con agua tibia y jabón y un paño suave o una esponja. Enjuague con agua limpia y seque completamente. NOTA: Después de cocinar arroz o una gran cantidad de comida, puede que un poco de líquido se acumule debajo de la tapa en la parte superior de la unidad alrededor de la olla. Esto es normal.

PROBLEMAS Y SOLUCIONES PARA LA AVENA OLLA “ULTRA COOKER” Avena (antes de llamar al departamento de servicio al cliente) 4 tazas de agua filtrada 1 taza de avena No puedo abrir la olla. La presión no ha salido totalmente. Utilizando el guante de silicona, gire la válvula de liberación de presión hacia arriba “up”. Instrucciones: 1. Mezcle bien todos los ingredientes y viértalos en el recipiente desmontable. Cierre la tapa y ajuste la Válvula de liberación de presión a la posición de "down pressure".
LED muestra E2 en la lectura de la pantalla. Esto quiere decir que el recipiente desmontable no está dentro de la olla o no esta debidamente colocada sobre la placa de calentamiento o no esta recibiendo la información correcta y necesita calibrarse. Por favor, desenchufe el cordón eléctrico durante 5-10 segundos, y luego vuelva a abrir con cuidado la tapa rote el recipiente hasta que quede correctamente sentada y vuelva a enchufar el cable. Esto debería reiniciar la señal en la olla.
