Thermoplastic Energy Efficient Vapor-Tight Boxes
Union
®
and Nu Tek
®
Vapor-Tight boxes are designed to meet the energy
efficiency requirements of modern homes.
They feature a drywall flange, covered with a closed-cell foam gasket
and additional gaskets over the cable entry points. These combine to
provide a vapor-tight seal, preventing the free flow of air through the box.
This makes them ideal for helping to control heating costs in the winter
and cooling costs in the summer.

Vapor-Tight boxes feature:
• High strength polymer construction. Will not
shatter when cold, unlike PVC.
• Self clamping cable entry (two gang and up and
the CFB-16-F).
• Large cubic capacity. To accommodate the
largest devices.
• d" offset flange. Ensures a flush fit in d" drywall.
• Pre-drilled flanges. All wall boxes are drilled for
additional mounting options.
• Nu Tek
®
boxes feature an integrally molded
bracket, for nail or screw mounting to the joist.
• Union
®
boxes feature angled side nails for rapid installation.
• UL and CSA listed.
Note: T&B thermoplastic boxes are heat rated to 80°C and permissible for use with
90°C insulated conductors. Thermoplastic boxes should not be subjected to
temperatures in excess of 105°C.
