PART 2 – PRODUCTS
2.01 GENERAL
A. Rigid PVC Schedule 40 and 80 Elbows shall be UL or ETL Listed for underground, encased or
exposed applications in accordance with the National Electrical Code Article 352.
B. Rigid PVC schedule 40 and 80 elbows shall be available in trade sizes from1/2” to 6”.
C. Rigid PVC schedule 40 and 80 elbows standard bends shall include 11-1/4º, 22-1/2º, 30º, 45º and
90º, with standard radii from 4” to 30”.

2.03 DESIGN AND PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
A. Rigid Schedule 40 and 80 Elbows shall be made from rigid (nonplasticized) polyvinyl chloride (PVC)
and shall be resistant to moisture and chemical atmospheres. The PVC elbows shall be flame
retardant, resistant to impact and crushing and resistant to heat distortion.
B. Schedule 40 and 80 Elbows shall be rated for use with 90° C conductors.
C. Schedule 40 and 80 Elbows shall be free from visible cracks, holes or foreign inclusions. The elbow
bore shall be smooth and free of blisters, nicks or other imperfections which could mar conductors or
cables.
D. Schedule 40 and 80 Elbows shall be identified for type, manufacturer and shall be traceable to
location of plant and date manufactured. The markings shall be legible and permanent.
PART 3 – EXECUTION
3.01 INSTALLATION
A. Installation shall be in accordance with the NEC were applicable and manufacturer’s instructions.
