STARTING - READ ENGINE MANUFACTURERS OWNERS’ MANUAL BEFORE
STARTING.
Check all fluids before starting.
Drive belts must be disengaged before starting.
Inspect all connections, teeth, tires, etc. (See Daily Checklist).
Start engine at half speed and allow sufficient time for oil to circulate before proceeding.
Test controls for proper operation.
Avoid transversing slopes.
DO NOT OPERATE THE ENGINE AT AN ANGLE GREATER THAN 25° OR
SEVERE ENGINE DAMAGE WILL OCCUR. PROPER ENGINE OIL LEVEL MUST
BE MAINTAINED TO ACHIEVE MAXIMUM ANGLE OF OPERATION OF 25°. (See
Engine Owner’s Manual for proper oil level.)
DO NOT OPERATE AROUND WATER, GAS, POWER OR PHONE LINES. IF IN
DOUBT, CHECK BEFORE GRINDING.
WEAR FACE SHIELD AND HEARING PROTECTION.
KEEP CLEAR OF CUTTING WHEEL AND MOVING MACHINE PARTS.
KEEP SPECTATORS AWAY.
Position the machine at stump with cutter wheel
a slight distance away from stump. Do not
engage cutter wheel when backing up to
stump. Hitting the stump with cutter wheel
running will break the Poly Chain® belt.
Remove tongue safety pin before beginning to
cut stump.
