Troubleshooting
A list of possible faults, as well as the probable cause and sugge-
sted solutions is shown as follows.
In the event of a unit malfunction it is recommended to disconnect
the power supply and ascertain the cause.
Symptoms Cause

Unit does not start:

Unit runs continuously or starts and stops frequently:
- Defective compressor contactor;

- Defective compressor;

- Refrigerant losses;

- Total water ow too low

- Static pressure in the hydraulic circuit too low;

Unit continuously cuts out at low pressure:
- Refrigerant losses;
c h e c k a n d a d d t h e n e c e s s a r y q u a n t i t y .
- Low water ow in the exchanger;
c h e c k w a t e r p u m p .
- Unit start-up delay;
w a i t u n t i l t h e s y s t e m h a s s t a b i l i s e d .
Unit continuously cuts out at high pressure:
- Defective high pressurestat;
c h e c k a n d i f n e c e s s a r y r e p l a c e p r e s s u r e s t a t .
- Blocked expansion valve;
c h e c k a n d r e p l a c e if n e c e s s a r y .
- Blocked lter drier;
c h e c k a n d i f n e c e s s a r y r e p l a c e f i l t e r .
- The outdoor fan/s does/do not work;
c h e c k t h e c o n d i t i o n o f t h e f a n m o t o r /s a n d i t s /t h e i r e l e c t r i c a l c o n -
n e c t i o n s .
- Obstructed or dirty battery;
r e m o v e t h e o b s t r u c t i o n o r c l e a n t h e b a t t e r y .
Abnormal system noise:
- Piping vibration;
s u p p o r t p i p i n g .
- Noisy compressor;
c h e c k a n d c h a n g e i f n e c e s s a r y .
- Hissing expansion valve;
c h e c k a n d a d d r e f r i g e r a n t i f n e c e s s a r y .
- Badly tting panels;

Compressor loses oil:
- Leaking refrigeration circuit;

Water loss:
- Defective entering or leaving connections;

The unit does not defrost
(only for 30RH units):
- Four-way reversing valve faulty;

- Defrost sensor broken;
