To construct a perpendicular line that passes through a specified point on
a line
(1) Draw a line segment or an infinite line.
(2) Draw a point on the line through which you want the perpendicular line to pass.
(3) Tap

, and then select the point and the line.
(4) Tap [Draw], [Construct], and then [Perpendicular].
• This draws a line that through the point you selected, which is perpendicular to the
line where is the point is located.
• Try selecting the point of intersection and dragging it.

To construct a line parallel to another line through a specified point
(1) Draw a line and a point that is not on the line.
(2) Tap
G
, and then select the line and the point.
(3) Tap [Draw], [Construct], and then [Parallel].
• The parallel line button is displayed on the toolbar, and a line passing through the
selected point is drawn parallel to the selected line.
