Mount and use the USB and Charging Unit as described in the procedure below.
Mounting the USB and Charging Unit
1. Fit the USB and Charging Unit onto the bottom of the terminal as shown in the
illustration.
2. After mounting the unit onto the terminal, check that it is fi rmly locked in place using
the stoppers.

Important!
The USB and Charging Unit can only be mounted on the terminal in one
direction. Do not use excessive force to attempt to push the terminal into the unit
when it is facing the wrong way.
Water or other liquids on the power supply/data communication terminals on
the USB and Charging Unit or terminal can lead to an electric shock or fi re. Note
also that soiling on the terminals will impair the connection, leading to reduced
charging functionality. As a safety precaution, disconnect the AC adaptor and
USB cable before cleaning the power supply terminals with a dry cloth or cotton
bud.
If there is condensation or other moisture on the terminal, wipe it off thoroughly
with a dry cloth.
Never short-circuit the power supply/data communication terminals on the USB
and Charging Unit or terminal as this could cause a fault.
When mounting the USB and Charging Unit on the DT-X8, attach the hand
strap to the top of the terminal.
