Before using this camera for the first time, you need to establish a connection
between it and a smartphone (page 24). Then you will need to use the EXILIM
Connect app (installed on the smartphone) to configure the camera’s time and date
settings (page 18), and to format its memory card (page 21).

Charge batteries before use.
The camera has a built-in rechargeable lithium ion battery. The battery is not
charged when you purchase the camera, so you will need to charge the camera
before using it.
Take test shots
Before shooting your final image, shoot a test shot to ensure that the camera is
recording correctly.
