The indicator appears on the display when the keyboard is shifted. + If the keyboard is shift-lacked to upper-case input, passing SHIFT shifts to lowercase. If the keyboard is set o lower-case latter {using CAPS), pressing SHIFT changes to upper-case. The setting you make with SHIFT remains in effect until you input a character.
22 PART 2 Inputting Characters Moving the cursor Use the cursor keys to move the curse around the keyboard for editing, adding, or deleting characters. The following describes how to move the cursor. + Each time you press the « or P cursor key, the cursor moves one space in the corresponding direction. Each time you press the & or ¥ cursor key, the cursor moves one line in the corresponding direction.
