Performing Control Box Operations Control Box operations can be controlled using either its remote controller (YT-200) or the Control Box keys. The Control Box remote controller lets you control your Projector System just as if it were a single projector. Control Box Remote Controller The Control Box has signal receivers on the front and back. Point the Control Box remote controller signal emitter at one of the receivers when performing an operation.
To change the input source (INPUT) 1. Press the [INPUT] key. 2. On the “Input” dialog box that appears, select the input source you want and then press the [ENTER] key. Adjusting an RGB Input Signal Automatically (AUTO) If the image of an RGB signal being input from a computer is not being projected correctly, press the [AUTO] key to adjust it automatically. If this does not improve the image, check the points described below.
Changing the Aspect Ratio of the Input Source Image (ASPECT) Each press of the [ASPECT] key cycles the aspect ratio of the input source image in one of the sequences shown below. HDMI (PC) or RGB input source: 3 Normal 3 Full HDMI (DTV) or Component input source: 3 Normal 3 Full 3 16:9 3 Letter Box Select “Normal” to maintain the original aspect ratio of the input source image, and “Full” to project the maximum size image that will fit within the target screen.
Adjusting the Volume Level Use the procedures below to adjust the volume level of the audio that is output by the projector speakers, or to mute audio output. Note The projector outputs audio only when HDMI input is selected with the Control Box and an HDMI audio signal is being input to the Projector System. To adjust the volume level of the projector speakers 1. Press the [MENU] key to display the setup menu. 2. Select “Volume Adjustment” and then press the [ENTER] key. 3.
Capturing a Screen and Saving It as the Custom Logo Important! z As soon as you start a screen capture with the operation below, any custom logo currently stored in Control Box memory is deleted. z If the capture operation is interrupted for any reason before it is complete, your custom logo data will revert to the initial factory default image (light green image).
Using the Setup Menu Pressing the [MENU] key displays the Setup Menu shown below on the projection screen. You can use this menu to make adjustments to the projected image (brightness, contrast, etc.) and to change Control Box settings. Use this menu item: To do this: Adjust Position 3 Frequency (R) Adjust the frequency of the RGB input signal when vertical lines appear in the projected image because the Control Box is unable to follow the RGB input signal frequency. If the projected image disappears from the display during adjustment, press the [AUTO] key to restore it before adjusting. For more information, see “Adjusting an RGB Input Signal Automatically (AUTO)” (page 4).
Use this menu item: To do this: Option Settings 3 Custom Logo Capture See “Creating a Custom Logo” (page 6). Option Settings 3 Remote Power Numbers Specify which of the remote controller’s power buttons ([1], [2], [3], [4]) turns on the Control Box. See “Control Box Power On/Off” in the YA-S10 Setup Guide. Option Settings 3 Language Specify the display language.
Using Wired LAN to Control the Projector System The Projector System can be controlled by a computer or other external device by connecting the device to the Control Box’s LAN port. Supported External Devices z The Projector System supports the commands of the Crestron Electronics controller and software (RoomView®). http://www.crestron.
To set up a Control Box and computer LAN connection 1. Connect the Control Box LAN port to the same LAN hub or other network device where the computer is connected. To Control Box LAN port LAN hub Computer z In a configuration like the one in the illustration above, you should normally use straight type LAN cables. If you are connecting the Control Box LAN port directly to the LAN port of a computer, use a cross type LAN cable. 2. Perform the steps below to get the Control Box IP address.

Operating the Projector System Using RS-232C Commands You can use a commercially available serial cable (cross) to connect a computer to the Control Box and then use RS-232C commands to control the Projector System. Command Send Format Configure your computer’s serial port with the following settings. Communication Protocol Data Rate 19200bps Data Bit 8bit Parity None Stop Bit 1bit Flow Control None Send this command when you want information about the current setup of the Control Box.
Command List Only the following functions are supported while the Control Box is turned off. Do not try to send any other command to the Control Box. z Power On/Off: Read z Power On: Write R: Read enabled W: Write enabled Function Command RW Setting Range Power On/Off: PWR RW 0: Off, 1: On Input Switching: 0: Switches the input source to the COMPUTER terminal and changes the COMPUTER terminal setting to RGB.
Indicator The POWER/STANDBY indicator of the Control Box will light, flash, and turn off as described below to indicate the current status of the Control Box. Unlit: Control Box not connected to a power outlet Flashing red: Control Box initializing (Power cannot be turned on at this time.
Troubleshooting Check the following items whenever you experience any problem with the Projector System. Problem Cause and Required Action Power does not turn on. z Make sure that the Control Box and projector power cords are plugged into a power outlet. z You may be pressing a numbered power key on the remote controller that is different from the one assigned to the Control Box by the “Option Settings 3 Remote Power Numbers” setting.
