Assembly Instructions

Assembly Instructions
1. Expose and tin 3/16” of the ends of all wires.
2. Push wires through plastic housings. Please observe polarity markings on
the housings. The barrel connectors must be used on the battery side of the
connection. Bullets are used on the load side.
3. Fix bullets and barrels in a drilled block of wood such that the solder cup is
facing up.
4. Use soldering iron to melt a moderate amount of solder into the rear cups of
the bullets and barrels.
5. Hold the wire with pliers near the end being soldered. Place the end of
the wire into the cup. Hold the soldering iron against the tinned portion of
the wire (or slip the point of the iron into the side hole on the barrels) to
melt the solder in both the cup and the wire. The wire should slip into the
cup without solder overflowing the cup. Do not allow solder to flow on
the outside of the bullets or barrels. If solder does overflow, use solder
removal tape to wick the excess away. The bullets and barrels will not fit
into the housings if there are solder blobs on them.
6. Once the wire and connector are cool, push or pull the attached bullet or
barrel completely into the housing. You may have to use a small piece of
dowel and a hammer to tap them into place.
