1.10 FINAL INSTALLATION CHECKS

1. Check cable connections.

Check that the EIDE/IDE interface cable is installed correctly with all 40 of the

pins on the rear of the drive inserted into the cable connector. Ensure also that

the 4-pin power cable connector is completely inserted into the rear of the drive.

2. Confirm that the jumper block is installed in the correct position.

This position was determined in Section 1.7, Configuration Options.

3. Ensure that the cables connected to the other devices have not

been loosened or disconnected.

Cables running to devices other than the ORB drive may have been loosened or

disconnected during the installation process.

Replace the cover of the computer, reinsert the screws, connect any other

devices you may have disconnected from the computer, and reconnect the AC

cable.
