Getting Started With Your Meat Injector
1. Your meat injector comes with 3 different needle types. The 6” angled tip needle is for chunkier marinades.
The 6” needle with 12 holes is best used for liquid marinades. The 3” needle is for more precise injections
and smaller cuts of meat.
2. We recommend hand washing with soapy water to clean your injector. After washing or before using the
injector, it’s best practice to use nonstick cooking spray or a little bit of oil to lube the plunger and barrel. The
oil helps it slide easier and forms an air tight barrier around the plunger for better suction.
3. Your Injector can hold a full 2.3 ounces of liquid at full capacity which means less time spent refilling. Keep an
eye on the measurement window as you inject so you can evenly distribute your injections across the meat.
4. If you take good care of your injector it should last pretty much forever. After all, it is built with high grade
304 stainless steel. The box doubles as a storage container with the foam insert so don’t throw it out.
5. Do your pallet a favor and use your injector right away. Once you taste the difference of injected meat you’ll
never want to go back. There are plenty of free recipes and instructional videos online to help you get
started. For more detailed and advanced strategies make sure to check out the Cave Tools Grill Master

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Are There Other Uses For My Injector?
A. Absolutely! Many people use their injector for cream fillings in cakes and cupcakes. You could also use it for brining, sauces,
or even sucking up juices from the meat and reinjecting.
Q. Can The Injector Handle High Temperature Liquids?
A. Yes it can, but please keep the following advice in mind. The barrel is stainless steel so depending on how hot the liquid is,
you may want to use gloves to protect your hands. If the liquid is very high temperature it may melt or damage the O-rings. Of
course you can always replace the O-rings, but we wouldn’t recommend using the injector in these types of scenarios.
Q. How Do You Fill The Injector?
A. Draw the liquid up through the needle like a syringe. If using the 12 hole needle then make sure all of the holes are fully
submerged in the marinade. After filling the barrel, keep the tip pointed up to prevent drips.
