6.4.2 Deactivating the E-Journal feature
You can deactivate the E-Journal feature by entering zero as the maximum number of transactions to be
saved in the E-Journal memory.
Complete the following steps to deactivate the E-Journal feature:

Press the purple function key below the symbol to open
the menu.
2 Select MERCHANT MENU.

Enter the merchant password (the default password is 99999)
and confirm by pressing <OK>.
4 Select CONFIGURE.
5 Select TERMINAL.
6 Scroll down and select E-JOURNAL.
7 Select MAX TRX ENTRIES.
8 Press <CORR>.

You can now enter the maximum number of transactions to be
saved in the E-Journal memory. Enter zero (0), and confirm by
pressing <OK> to deactivate the E-Journal feature.
If the E-Journal feature has been successfully deactivated, the following message will appear on screen:
‘E-JOURNAL CHANGE SUCCESSFUL’. If the message ‘E-JOURNAL MEMORY NOT EMPTY / FIRST
DELETE OR PRINT’ appears on screen, you must first print the E-Journal (see subsection 6.3.2) or
delete the E-Journal (see section 6.5).
