SMS enables you to send text messages to the other
party, which is a convenient and affordable mode of
communication. You can use the SMS menu to send
messages to another handphone or a device that is
capable of receiving SMS.
Your phone can store up to 1000 messages. Once you
have reached 1000 messages, the screen will flash a
SMS icon to alert you. You need to delete some
messages in order to receive new ones.
1. In idle mode, press
 to enter the main menu.
2. Select
/GUUCIGU > 5/5 and press  . Or, press !
in idle mode to enter SMS menu directly.
9TKVGOGUUCIG
You need to enter the correct message centre number
before you can send SMS. The number can be
obtained from your network operator.
1. In idle mode, press
 to enter the main menu.
2. Select
/GUUCIGU > 5/5 > 9TKVGOGUUCIG and press  .
The SMS editing screen will appear.
3. Enter the phone number of the recipient in
the text box right after
4GEKRKGPV or press  or
/ 1RVKQPU , then select 2JQPGDQQM to access
phonebook list.
4. Press
 /  to select a number from the list and press
 to select/cancel. Then press / 1- to return to
SMS editing screen.
5. After you have entered the recipient, press
 to enter
SMS editor.
6. Enter the SMS content in the SMS editor
and press
 or / 1RVKQPU to carry out the
following operations:
5GPFPQY Send the SMS without saving it in
the Sent box. If the SMS is sent
successfully, the screen will return to
the previous menu; if it is not sent
successfully, it will return to the
message editing screen.
5GPFUCXG Send and save your SMS.
If the SMS is sent successfully, it will
be saved in the Sent folder and return
to the previous menu; if it is not sent
successfully, it will return to the
message editing screen.
5CXG Save the SMS.
