4.3. Status Reports
4.3.1. Report by Monitoring
Either a PC or remote- connected PC (Via Modem or Wireless Modem) can be used for Monitoring and
Control of the BEAMER
®
RF Repeater System. The communication standard between the RAC and
the local or remote PC is by a standard RS-232/RS485 bus at a baud rate of 9.6 Kbps.
4.3.2. BEAMER
®
RF Repeater System Control
Either a PC or remote- connected PC can be used for Control each individual BEAMER
®
and each of
the BEAMER
®
RF Repeater ABT amplifiers. Local or remote PC can obtain control functions but not
both simultaneously.
4.4. BSM S/W
The BSM Software enables system configuration and monitoring functionality of each unit in the
system.
The Operation of the software will be described in the following paragraphs.
4.4.1. S/W Installation
The BSM software installation is from a diskette which is supplied with the product by Celletra .
Put disk no.1 in the floppy drive and run "Setup".
Follow the instructions on the screen until completion of installation.
4.4.2. S/W Operation
From the "Program files" in the Windows operating system select the BEAMER
®
icon and double
click to operate the BSM software.
Follow the next steps in order to establish a correct system installation.
Note: The ICU ( Interface and Control Unit) is the Control Board located within the RAC module of
the BEAMER
®
RF Repeater. When ever the ICU is referenced in the following BSM slide show the
interpretation should be the RAC Module Control Board.
