You will need to have broadband! The Hub
connects to a spare Ethernet connection in
your home; this will probably be a spare socket
on your broadband router. If you'r e unsure
about this, r ead about Connecting the Hub
to your home network .
During the installation you will need a web
browser running on a PC or laptop in your
home, so that you can follow our web-based
walk through. Once the system is set up, you do
not need a computer to be turned on and
running all the time; AlertMe is a
standalone appliance.
It's well worth doing a little planning in
advance about how you will use AlertMe to
protect your home, too. Read our guide here.
