Sunlight resistant jacket
Description:
PVC jacketed cable with two or three circuit conductors and an equipment
grounding conductor. Intended for use in accordance with the National
Electrical Code (NEC). Insulated conductors are laid parallel with a bare
grounding conductor.
For use underground as a feeder or branch circuit cable. Direct burial in the
earth is permitted. May be installed in wet, dry, or corrosive locations as
specied by the NEC. May be installed for interior wiring in accordance with
the requirements for nonmetallic-sheathed cable as specied in the NEC.
Materials:
Solid conductors: Soft, uncoated copper per ASTM B3
Stranded conductors: Uncoated copper per ASTM B3 and ASTM B8
Insulation: Color-coded PVC (polyvinyl chloride) rated 90°C dry with nylon
(polyamide) covering.
Jacket: Gray PVC (polyvinyl chloride) jacket applied over and around the
insulated and bare conductors
